Pork Black Forest Ham

Getting it’s name from the the European Black Forest region of Germany, where it was first produced, Bon Appetit’s traditional German Pork Black Forest Ham or ‘Schwarzwaelder Schinken’ adds extra flair to a German heritage meal. However, in the U.S. the name is suggestive of the ham’s outer color and preparation style, selling their own version of this German delight. Similarly found is the Italian ‘Prosciutto di Parma’ from the Italian region of Parma. Enjoy a lagacy of traditional flavours as-is paired with cheese and wine, or add to soups, sandwiches and more.
